Benji Lowen

In May 2024 I travel to El-Selvador to represent New Zealand at the ISA World Junior Surfing Championship . I gained my spot in the team by winning the U16 Division at the New Zealand Nationals in January 2024. 

 

Winning this division helped achieve the goal I set myself at the beginning of 2023. I worked through the year to ensure I had the best chance of success at this event.

I have been extremely blessed to have been supported by a wide group of friends, family, supporters, as well as past and current surf clubs. The financial costs of this event is significant and special thanks must go to those that have helped me fundraise for this opportunity.

 

l can't wait to represent my country, family and friends.  I have set myself goals which I'm busily working towards. These include representing myself well, enjoying the moment, meeting lots of new people from across the globe. And of course I have set myself surf performance goals.
